Orthopaedics - Dr. Gavin Nimon

Dr Gavin Nimon is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive experience in surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist/ hand and knee. 


 Head of Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, he specializes in totally arthroscopic reconstructive and stabilization procedures to the shoulder including Rotator Cuff repairs, SLAP repairs, treatment of bursitis and ac joint arthritis. 


He also has a large experience with Shoulder and Knee replacement surgery and maintains professional excellence being involved in continuing professional training and audits through professional bodies. 


He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh as well as the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

Endocrinology - Dr. Anthony Roberts

Dr Tony Roberts graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1975 and completed his advanced training in Endocrinology at Flinders Medical Centre and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne in 1982. He spent the next three years as a NH&MRC Research Fellow at St Vincent’s School of Medical Research researching the immunology of thyroid disease.

He is currently the Medical Co-ordinator of the RAH Thyroid and Parathyroid Clinic.

He is Principal Investigator of SA Endocrine Research Pty Ltd and has conducted over two hundred international clinical trials.

He is also very committed to postgraduate teaching and gives numerous lectures each year.

Endocrinology - Dr. Marni Nenke

New ParagraphDr Marni Nenke obtained a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition) from the University of Sydney in 2003 before undertaking a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, conferred in 2007. Her basic physician training and advanced training in Endocrinology was completed at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. She became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2017. During her training she received the AR Clarkson Scholarship (RAH Research Fund) for her PhD studies with the University of Adelaide. Her PhD, investigating the regulation of glucocorticoids in inflammation, was awarded in 2017 with a Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. She has a keen interest in disorders of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.

Marni continues post-doctoral research as a Mary Overton Fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She is a Nuclear Medicine Therapy Fellow at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She visits Keswick, Victor Harbour and Port Lincoln with Endocrine Consultants SA. She also consults at Nunkuwarrin Yunti indigenous health service in Adelaide.

Gastroenterology - Dr. Kee Loo

Dr. Kee Loo graduated from the University of Manchester (UK) and completed his internship in the UK before relocating to Adelaide, where he undertook specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology across several tertiary hospitals in South Australia. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Hepatology at the SA Liver Transplant Medicine Unit, followed by a clinical fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC). 

 

Dr. Loo combines private practice with a public appointment at Flinders Medical Centre. He maintains an active interest in clinical research, medical education, and IBD clinical trial recruitment. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and completed a Master’s degree at Flinders University.
